Romans 5:10-21
For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much
more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in
God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death
passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the law sin was in the world: but
sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to
Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression,
who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift.
For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the
gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as
it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation,
but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death
reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of
righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore, as by the offence of one
judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the
free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience
many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded,
grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace
reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 2:1-17
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we
have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation
for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby
we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know
him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But
whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that
we are in him. He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he
walked. Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment
which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have
heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is
true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He
that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that
loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not
whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. I write unto you, little
children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write unto you,
fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young
men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children,
because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have
known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye
are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world,
the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and
the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the
world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth
forever.
Gospel
Matthew 6:5-15
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray
standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of
men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter
into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not
vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much
speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye
have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which
art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it
is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive
our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the
kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. For if ye forgive men their
trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their
trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
